RV Worldwide is the website where you list your interest in using another person's RV, Motor Home, Campervan etc, and they can use yours.
When you list your RV on the site you can choose from three levels of listing. From Basic/Free, Premium to Showcase - which gives you the opportunity (for a very reasonable cost) to fully detail your RV (including up to 9 Photographs) and your travel requirements.
You can list (and also update your details) from anywhere in the world at any time(24/7).
Also if you don't own an RV that is suitable for exchange you can arrange a private hire through this site.
HOW DO I MAKE AN EXCHANGE?
It's very easy:
1. Click on the destination country you would like to travel to.
2. Click on a suitable listing.
3. Contact that listing by email directly from the site and arrange an exchange.
4. Or list your RV and details. Then you will be contacted from all points of the globe giving you the opportunity to travel to countries you may never have thought possible.
While RV Worldwide is developing the brand it is important for your RV to be listed as any user can contact you direct - they do not have to be listed themselves. This is the major difference between RV Worldwide.com and a membership type site.
IS IT SAFE?
Before you exchange you will have correspondence with the other party which will give you time to get to know them. Also use this time to ask questions. We also have sample letters etc available by email request (
info@rvworldwide.com) for 'Showcase' and 'Premium' listing level users that will assist you at this time. Remember that the other party is also exchanging a similar item with you, so trust will be mutual.
WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE AND LIABILITY?
As every country (and insurance company) has different requirements we urge you to discuss this with your insurance company. It may be necessary to have a suitable extension added to your policy or it if necessary change insurance companies to ensure you are fully covered when the other party is using your RV.
DO WE HAVE TO EXCHANGE AT THE SAME TIME?
No. This is just one of the many advantages in exchanging your RV as it does not require a simultaneous exchange. In fact, if you are exchanging with someone in the other hemisphere it may be that you both travel in the summer at your destination, which will mean that your exchange's could be 6 months apart.
WHO WOULD WANT TO USE MY RV?
Naturally, your RV could be substantially different to that owned by whom you are exchanging with. However, those who use RV Worldwide are well travelled and will soon adapt to different vehicles. We suggest that you try to exchange similar vehicles for ease of driving, however vehicles from say North America are generally larger than European or Australasian vehicles - but then the roads are also wider!
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost of a 12 month Showcase listing on RV Worldwide.com costs just USD49.90, which is a small cost in relation to the costs of international travel. A Premium listing, which has less detail costs just USD19.90 for 12 months. We also have available a Basic/Free listing which displays a Tile and Contact details only.
Listing gives you the opportunity for an unlimited number of exchanges that you can arrange within the 12 months of your listing.
You will need to pay for general RV running costs (fuel, servicing, mileage tax (if required in some countries) and perhaps additional insurance costs which you would arrange with the other party), plus the usual overnight parking charges.
HOW MUCH CAN I SAVE?
You will save the cost of hiring a RV, or a car plus accommodation costs - which depending on the country you are traveling to could be several hundred dollars a night! (You will already know the savings that are made, being the owner of an RV or similar.)
CAN I EXCHANGE WITHIN MY OWN COUNTRY?
Yes. This can save you time and money. With high fuel costs it makes sense to fly across country to spend your time exploring a portion of the country that you haven't seen before.
HOW LONG CAN I EXCHANGE FOR?
This is up to what is agreed between both parties but it doesn't need to be for the same length of time (everyone has different time available) but if one party requires a substantially longer period it may be fair to include the extra time as a hire, at a negotiated rate, as it may also be that a greater mileage is to be covered.

We suggest that you complete an agreement to ensure that there is no dispute as to who is responsible for any fines.

All countries have their own regulations in regards to drivers licenses, with most accepting an International Drivers license. The party you are exchanging with can advise you on this as it may need to be addressed with their insurance company also.

You can list on the site as a hirer by using the 'Travellers' category. This gives you the opportunity to list details of where and when you would like to travel. Others who are considering hiring their RV to you can then contact you direct.
